A passion for celebration
As a proud Zambian, I’ve had the pleasure of diving into the world of organising traditional African celebrations for the local Zambian community over my 20 years in the UK.
Whether it’s a lively kitchen party, a vibrant chilanga mulilo, or matebeto, I’ve also decorated more universal celebrations like birthdays, anniversaries and graduations.
There’s something incredibly fulfilling about witnessing people revel in these joyful events, and I truly cherish the happiness that comes with marking life’s special moments.
I’ve always had a bit of a creative spark, though I hadn’t really put it to much use apart from sprucing up my home. But when I finally took the plunge and enrolled in a balloon decoration course – after stepping back from my social work career – it was like a lightbulb moment. I started crafting decorations for my friends’ gatherings, and soon my passion blossomed from just balloons to flowers and all sorts of lovely table features. With the encouraging feedback pouring in, I decided to embrace this newfound love and pursue it wholeheartedly. My enthusiasm for balloon art and complete event decoration fuels my mission to create enchanting displays that bring a little extra joy to celebrations!
